2020: AI Competition on Robot Turtles
A very impressive winning AI which won 2 drones, congratulations to the students behind this great AI!
2015-2020: Wave App
To help students learn more effectively, Grooptown created an interactive platform where they can complete exercises, give feedback to peers, and progress in a fully gamified environment.
2019: AI Contest on KingDomino
Four Parrot drones and Robot Turtles games to be won. The AI battles were fantastic. Congratulations to the winners!
2018: AI contest on Risk
This year, the contest was playing on the game Risk. It was played either on the classic map or on Westeros from Game of Thrones.
2017: AI contest on Snorkuking
Grooptown is organizing an AI competition around the game Snorkunking. Congratulations to the winners and finalists who won Parrot drones.
2017: Grooptown sponsored the Night of Computer Science
Grooptown created two challenges:
- Easter Egg with a JS Library
- Chatbot with a Recommendation Algorithm

2016: Grooptown hosts Big Data Paris Meetup at ISEP
Thibaut de Broca did a talk speaking about technologies of Hadoop eco-system. All nicely displayed in a advent calendar.
2015: Grooptown launches Artificial Intelligence Contest at ISEP
This year, Grooptown innovates while launching an annual contest on Artificial Intelligence: students compete by bringing their own AI and sends request to a central server managed by Grooptown. The server display a nice UI in the amphitheater with the live matches of the AIs.

Thibaut de Broca
Having worked at Google, small and large IT services companies, as a self-employed entrepreneur, and as a co-founder of a startup, Thibaut now leads Grooptown, offering top-tier Big Data expertise. He also teaches computer science at ISEP for third- and fourth-year students since 2012 and provides advanced Big Data training at Telecom Paris, 3IL and CNAM.
Fabien Pichon
A Java developer and Big Data technology enthusiast, Fabien joined Grooptown in 2018 to fully dedicate himself to this area of expertise. He also teached an Hadoop technology course at Télécom Paris.
