AI Contest on Risk
The yearly contest moved to Risk — played on both the classic map and on a Westeros (Game of Thrones) variant.
2017
AI Contest on Snorkuking · Night of Computer Science
An AI competition around the game Snorkuking — winners and finalists took home Parrot drones. Grooptown also sponsored the Nuit de l'Info, designing two challenges: an Easter Egg in a JS library and a recommendation-algorithm chatbot.
2016
Big Data Paris Meetup at ISEP
Grooptown hosted the Big Data Paris Meetup at ISEP. Thibaut gave a talk on the Hadoop ecosystem, presented as a playful advent calendar.
2015
Launch of the Artificial Intelligence Contest at ISEP
Grooptown launched its annual AI contest at ISEP: students submit their own AIs that send requests to a central server, with live matches displayed on the amphitheater big screen. Parrot drones for the winners.

Wave App
Built Wave, an interactive learning platform where students complete exercises, give feedback to peers, and progress through a fully gamified environment.

Former Google engineer, also veteran of small and large IT services firms, self-employed entrepreneur and startup co-founder. Now leads Grooptown. Teaches computer science at ISEP since 2012 and delivers advanced Big Data training at Telecom Paris, 3IL and CNAM.

Java & Big Data Engineer
